Cousins KTR, Harish Rao win hearts with bonhomie

HYDERABAD: Cousins and became the talk of the town on Friday as the two ministers, who ran into each other engaged in a jovial conversation in what was otherwise a hectic day because of the assembly polls.

“Bye bava,” was heard while speaking to his cousin in a video that was shared widely on social media platforms.

The amiable nature of both the leaders became the talking point with many lauding them for the disposition they have towards each other.

Their light-hearted conversation also seemed to be a message for many as it is speculated that not all was well between the two leaders. In fact, Harish Rao campaigned for KTR in Sircilla and KTR, in turn, went to Siddipet to campaign for his cousin.

Harish Rao is elder to KTR and is the son of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s sister. Harish Rao, who contested from Siddipet assembly constituency, cast his vote along with his wife Srinitha in Siddipet.

KT Rama Rao, who is a contestant in Sircilla, cast his vote at Banjara Hills in Khairatabad assembly constituency and headed to Sircilla. It was on the way, when their paths crossed at Gurralagondhi village and both of them stopped their cars and got down to speak to each other.

While Harish Rao hugged KTR, the chief minister’s son told Harish that he was sure that Rao would win with a one lakh majority in Siddipet and congratulated him in advance.

“I should get at least half of that majority, may be up to 60,000 votes,” KTR told Harish.
