Light rains predicted in region in next few days

Nagpur: Even as Wardha and Akola received some rainfall on Saturday, the regional meteorological centre has predicted partly cloudy sky on Sunday and light rainfall in eight of the Vidarbha districts from Monday to Wednesday.
Scientist ‘E’ from the met office JR Prasad said that there were two weather systems which will bring rains in the region. One of them is a trough running from east to north and is spread from Karnataka to central Maharashtra and the other is a western disturbance which is fast approaching. “Initially the western disturbance raises the temperature slightly and then the temperature falls,” he said.

The forecast says that there will be isolated rainfall in all Vidarbha districts except for Buldhana and Nagpur on Sunday. From Monday to Wednesday, the rains are likely to occur at isolated places in Vidarbha except for Wardha and Yavatmal. Overall there will be light rain region from Monday to Wednesday which are likely to bring a further fall in temperature to make the next week colder. But the temperature is not likely to fall below 13 degrees Celsius.

On Sunday fog and mist will be there in Nagpur and Thursday and Friday may not have rain but may have mist.
